How this site sources and checks facts

Every statement of law comes from a statute, a regulation, or a regulator's own page, and carries the date a person last checked it.

What counts as a source

A source is a statute, a regulation, or a regulator's own page. News articles, law firm summaries, and other directories are never sources. Where the primary source cannot be found, the page says information is coming soon rather than giving an answer.

Where the citation sits

Each statement of law carries a link to its source at the point the statement is made. A sources list at the foot of the page names the statute or regulation, the authority behind it, and the date it was last checked.

How a page gets written

AI writes the first draft from the primary sources. A person then reads every sentence and checks every citation against its source before anything is published. Checking a draft with a second AI pass does not stand in for that human edit.

What the reviewed date means

The reviewed date tells you the day a person last checked every fact on the page against its sources. It is not the day the file changed. Every legality page and guide shows it twice, near the title and again in its own section.

The change log

The change log follows the reviewed date, newest first, with one line for each change and its date. A line that records a change to a stated fact also names the source that established it. Even when a review finds nothing changed, the page gets a new date and a line saying so.

No health claims

Nothing on this site says that cannabis, hemp, or any product treats a condition. A state's medical program sets its qualifying conditions in statute, and the page reports them with a citation.

No reviews and no ratings

This site publishes no customer reviews, no testimonials, and no ratings. Where a page quotes anyone, it names who said it and cites the source.

How this site earns

The disclosures page sets out how this site earns. Paying changes neither whether a store is listed nor anything stated about it. None of the revenue layers it describes is running yet.
